Dr Surin Pitsuwan, Secretary-General of ASEAN recently met Japan's new Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, Mr Yukio Edano in Tokyo to discuss a wide range of economic cooperation issues between ASEAN and Japan.
In commemoration of the 5th Anniversary of the United Nations (UN) Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, the UN Secretary-General's Symposium on International Counter-Terrorism Cooperation was organised by the UN Counter-Terrorism Implementation Task Force Office (CTITF) in partnership with the Executive Office of the Secretary-General and the constituent CTITF entities yesterday, at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
